Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Collar mobile application and related services (the “Service”) operated by BetterGoal Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

By using the Service, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old; and
  • You are legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. Use of the Service

Collar is a relationship and habit tracking app for couples.

You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code of the Service, except where prohibited by law
  • Use the Service for illegal activity
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, or harm another person
  • Use the Service in connection with minors
  • Use the Service for non-consensual, coercive, or abusive conduct
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, you should take steps to secure it and contact us if needed.

4. Partner Features

The Service may allow you to connect with a partner or share information with another user.

You understand that:

  • Content you choose to share may be visible to your connected partner
  • Certain actions may trigger updates or notifications to your partner
  • We are not responsible for how another user behaves, on or off the Service
  • You are responsible for deciding what you share and with whom

5. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your use of the Service and for your real-world conduct.

The Service is a tool for organization, communication, and relationship tracking. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or safety advice.

We do not control, supervise, or take responsibility for users' online or offline conduct, decisions, or interactions.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.

If you make a purchase:

  • You agree to pay the price shown at the time of purchase
  • Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled through the applicable platform
  • Billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the platform through which you purchased, such as Apple, unless otherwise stated

We may change pricing or paid features at any time, but changes will not affect purchases already made except as permitted by applicable law or platform rules.

7. Availability and Changes

We try to keep the Service useful, reliable, and up to date, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with your device.

We may:

  • Update the Service
  • Add, remove, or modify features
  • Suspend or discontinue the Service
  • Stop offering part or all of the Service at any time

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your use creates risk to us, the Service, or other users
  • Required by law
  • We choose to discontinue the Service

If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your data, content, and subscription benefits, subject to applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, branding, design, content, and related intellectual property, belongs to BetterGoal Labs LLC or its licensors.

These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service or any of our intellectual property.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetterGoal Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we do, we will post the updated Terms and update the “Last Updated” date above. By continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
