BetterGoal Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Collar mobile application and related services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, when we share it, and what choices you have when you use the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Summary
We store the data you enter into the app, such as your account information, profile information, habits, tasks, goals, rewards, punishments, notes, messages, photos, and other content needed for the app to function.
Your data is used to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
We may use limited analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostic data to understand app usage, fix bugs, and improve performance.
App data may be encrypted in transit and at rest through our infrastructure providers, but content in the app is not end-to-end encrypted.
You can delete your account inside the app. When you do, we will take reasonable steps to delete your account data, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup retention needs.

If you purchase a subscription or make an in-app purchase, payment processing is handled by the relevant platform provider, such as Apple.
We do not store your full payment card information.
We may receive information such as your subscription status, purchase history, entitlement status, and limited transaction-related metadata as needed to provide premium features, restore purchases, manage billing-related access, and respond to subscription support issues.
If needed to process refund requests or resolve purchase issues, we may share limited information about your subscription status or usage of purchased features with the relevant platform provider, as permitted by their policies and applicable law.
5. Partner Features and Shared Content
Some parts of the Service are designed to be shared with a partner or another invited user.
If you use these features, information you create or submit in the app may be visible to the partner you connect with, depending on the feature. This may include things like shared tasks, habits, goals, rewards, punishments, notes, messages, photos, activity updates, and related app content.
You are responsible for understanding what you choose to share through the Service.
6. Data Storage and Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your data may be encrypted in transit and at rest through our service providers' infrastructure. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Content shared in the app is not end-to-end encrypted. That means the Service may process and store content on servers in order to provide app functionality such as syncing, storage, partner sharing, messaging, media handling, and account recovery.

We may use third-party service providers to help operate the Service, such as providers for:
- Hosting, database infrastructure and authentication
- Analytics and crash reporting
- Subscription management
- Media storage and messaging services

You may delete your account through the app.
If you delete your account, we will take reasonable steps to permanently delete your account data from active systems, subject to any legal, security, fraud prevention, technical retention, or backup constraints.
Some limited backup copies may persist for a short period before they are fully removed.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended only for adults age 18 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services.
If you choose to access a third-party site or service, that third party's terms and privacy policy will apply. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.
13. International Use
If you use the Service outside the country where our operations or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries.
By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy and update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
